I just fixed my side window rattle after putting up with it for years!!!! I had thought it was going to be a pig of a job - taking the windows out, taking them apart, hopefully putting them back together again. I put it off and off for the longest time.
Then I saw the video below - a 15 minute job and a great finish!!
I bought some felted window channel from Clark Rubber and away i went - end of problem!

I use 10mm Velcro pushed in the channel. Costs a couple of $$. You can also use large drinking straws squashed in the channel or the Off cuts of cable ties. All cheap and good solutions. And they all come in black :-)

Good info looks easy and neat.
Mostly on customers old Defender I put a blob of silicone sealant and let it dry, so it jams against the glass when shut.
