D5 queries

Typical of me...after caning the D5 for the last 18 months I find myself ready to get one.........

Can anyone comment on the worth and quality of:

Meridian™ Sound System (380W) - My hearing is not great but I do like my music and podcasts.
DAB - As above
Interactive Driver Display - I like tech

I have the Meridian 380 in my D4 and absolutely love it. It’s the 11 speaker unit (10 speakers and 1 sub) so assuming it’s the same in the 5. I would have loved DAB but wasn’t available in the cars that were available. DAB isn’t good out of metro area so this would depend where you live. Can’t comment on the interactive.
So if I was getting the 5, I’d go the meridian again.

Slightly off topic.....

Out the front of the Springwood dealer there is always a row of D5's,around 4 or 5 of them.

For the last week or so there has been a yellow TDi 110 Defender with i roof top tent on it in the middle of them.

I have the mid range 825W Meridian - it's fantastic. The car is the only place i can let it rip.

DAB is great around town. The difference between it and FM is like FM vs AM.

I think the Meridian 380w system is standard on the HSE spec D5, most dealers would have a HSE demo and listen to it for yourself. I ordered an SE spec but upgraded to the Meridian sound.

I have the 850 or 830 sorry can't remember but I strongly recommend it. Its crystal clear and rocks the pants off anything i have had before.. It's even too loud for the kids. :)

Well I said I wouldn't, couldn't and I shouldn't have but....

Next week I take delivery of an SD4 HSE with the pro pack, HUD, TPM and other outrageously expensive options for what I think was a great (overall) deal. 5 year warranty, 5 year servicing. Pics to come.

Myself; I really like the D5..
But I’ll hold out for a look at the forthcoming Defender line before making a final decision.

And by then they will have ironed out the bugs in the D5s.

I have 11 speakers in the povo L322. It’s great. An amazing step up from 2 speakers in the 110.

I would love a HUD.
