my experience with cig usb c chargers is that while all the ones I have tried do work only a few of them charged rapidly.

Seems like there are a few different standards for rapid charge or power delivery and if the charger doesn't support whatever your device does then it just charges very slowly.

Mines for charging a pixel 2 phone btw, and with the slow charging the phone would actually still lose battery whilst running with the screen on and navigation, where as with the right fast charging one it is as good as the 240v charger that came with the phone.

I think the best one I got in the end was from jaycar.

Those little lithium jump starter batteries usually come with a USB outlet and they tend to charge phones pretty much as fast as a 240v wall charger [thumbsupbig]

I am looking for a more permanent solution, may be fast charging NOCO gb70/jackery 420 pro type device will do the job (fast charging battery pack for portable devices)

I have bought several of these in the past and put them in in my Defender and now Focus ST

Pretty much a direct replacement for a cig lighter and will fast charge at 9v

Do you have a Type-C to Type-C cable?

If so, Mbeat make a ciggy/power adapter you may want.

If you're lead is USB-A to USB-C I'd go for an Anker PowerDrive+ cigarette/power plug removable type.

I stuck a pair of narva 5V/2.5A outputs on the sig circuit, getting a pretty good rate out of them.

Check the current output of your chargers, USB C fastchargers put out 3A, other chargers can be 2.4A or 2.1A and that can be shared between two ports.
