What a bun fight. The North only accepted the French back in force in order to get rid of the Chinese, who had occupied the North. The surrendered Japanese were re-armed, and acted as policemen in the south, the Americans assisted the Viet Minh, and uncle Ho, whom they would be fighting in their War, and don't be misled by the slouch hats, Mountbatten ordered English soldiers in Burma, and elsewhere in Asia should wear the slouch hat after the Australians were the first to defeat the Japanese on land at Milne Bay. Good for morale, you know. And bad for the Japs morale, supposedly. What a bun fight. Take it back to the start.
