RRS SC 2007. Got a knocking noise when hard braking or going over bumps. Took it to specialist who said the lower control arm bushes are shot. Car has only done 81k KMs. Mechanic said it was normal at 80k KMs for these to go. Is this right, almost $500 to replace at specialist. Have a warranty so have put in a claim but exclusions say bushes are excluded as they come under FW&T but at just 81k KMs that seems premature. Car has never been off-road, daily driver for me since buying 8 months ago, 66k KMs when I got it over10 years so only did 6K a year from original owner who used it as a weekend car only (traded it for Bentley!!).

81K is pretty normal. $500 is cheap.
