View Full Version : How high is High Clearance

I have been looking at some 4WD tracks here is SA. Some of them indicate that High Clearance is required. How high is high clearance? Is that for body clearance or axle clearance? I am assuming that the approach and departure shouldn't be an issue on a 110.

Hi, I was looking at the 4WD track and repeater towers pdf from the gov sebsite. prob start with something easy like track 2 Arden Hills track 2 to start getting a feel for 4WD driving.

National Park ‘high clearance’ usually means anything but a sports car. In reality Defenders are the highest clearance domestic sized production 4x4. If the track sign says high clearance it will generally be like a freeway for a Defender.
