Best to be sitting down when you price some of it. [biggrin]

Phone won't let me edit the last post, but you can try alldata.com or search for Mitchell Manager.
They are generic tools, for generic cars, if you want LR specific stuff, you'll need real deep pockets.
OBD2 scanners are a dime a dozen on ebay, amazon etc. They are very limited, though.

I assume the Nanocom doesn't work on Discovery 1's?
I have an old Samsung smart phone with Android OS on it is installed Torque app which I have found combined with a Bluetooth OBD2 dongle has been excellent on a variety of vehicles. Can read the codes and reset them. Often combined with a Google search specific to that vehicle and code being thrown and the problem can be narrowed down.

D1s have very limited electronic systems. I tell people that the most technically advanced item in my D1 is the radio! [bigrolf]
Mine is a Tdi, though. ABS and an aftermarket cruise control are about it. I have a Nanocom for the P38A and the D2, and it's paid for itself numerous times.

......
No. There's no Discovery 1 option on the Nanocom.
As for OBDII devices, won't connect on my 98 build(99 compliance) Tdi. Don't know how or if they would connect on a V8 D1 tho.
Both the OBD devices I have will connect to my D2 V8's tho, one '99 and the other '00.

Likely the D1 isn't OBD2. Later ones might have an OBD2 connector but that doesn't mean that it's actually OBD2. There were some generations of Falcons in early 90's if I recall that also had this.
