Having recently bought the Discovery 3, and had it break down on the second day of registration in the country, I was horrified to hear from a mechanic in an Authorized Landrover Service Centre, that Landrover are pulling all their service out of country towns and centralising servicing in capital cities ONLY!

Is this a rumor, a proposal or is it true? 8O

If it's true, it would have to be the most insane thing the company could do. Here they have have a range of class-leading, award-winning vehicles lifting their sales around the world and they would reduce them - especially in this country - to fat businessman's fantasy cars. Lose your keys in a new Landrover and have to have the car towed from Broken Hill to Botany? Crazy!

CONFIRMATION?

Its true mate, we are as sorry to hear it as you are. But there is some hope, i know of a few ford technitians that are undergoing training to work on land rovers, so it may be part of some master plan to have selected ford dealerships selling land rovers. Having said this land rover in bathurst has gone and it was at a ford dealership. Matt
