Don’t you love windows?
I have been in the ‘IT’ industry over 40 years (used to be called EDP - electronic data processing in those days). Worked for almost a decade on IBM mainframes where most things were pretty predictable, though occasionally you would have a catastrophic failure to liven up the middle of the night shift.
Since the advent of PC’s and windows it’s a whole new world. The ‘consistent’ unpredictability of outcomes, even when YOU have made no changes would be unacceptable in any other industry.

It’s like turning up to work in the morning to find the front door has moved over night. It’s now on the other side of the building, three floors up and upside down.

Why do we continue to tolerate this?
