I got it wrong again. This was meant to be a separate thread, but somehow I put it into the dambusters one. Sorry about that. I didn't know the museum has two buildings, one in the city, the other at the airport.

Indeed it does. The one out at Dulles airport (Udvar-Hazy in the video) has all the larger items, the Enola Gay and such. The Air Force museum in Dayton, Ohio in the midwest is also impressive as are some regional ones around the country.

I had the opportunity to gave Buz Carpenter (SR71 pilot) do the tour of the museum. The Sled had only been declassified for a couple of months, so after the tour he said “you can ask me anything you like”. Spent about an hour with him chatting about his missions.
What an awesome gentleman.
