I am changing the radio on my 2012 defender to a Kenwood unit. The wiring harness is different where as the landrover radio has two plugs and the Kenwood only has one plug with less wires and the antenna plug is different also. Just wondering what others have done in regards to this as I was just going to cut and rejoin the power and speaker cables but as usual they are too short to get at without removing the wiring from the switches and pulling the whole facia right out. On fleabay they have an ISO connector for the Kenwood and just wondering if the plugs on the defender are ISO or not. The mob who sold the radio said that they had conversion plugs for a disco but not a defender and I think that if I could go that way it would be a lot simpler. I also though about the Freelander harness if I could get one. Probably have to cut the antenna cable and refit.
Have looked at the rave manual and I can't find the colour chart for the wire colours, anyone know where they are on rave.
Thanks for your thoughts

Here is a diagram

I used a Pioneer MEX series as a replacement and used an ISO adaptor
No need to cut the antenna cable - just remove the adaptor

Thanks for that, the mob I bought the radio off said there was no adapter cable to fit but I went there today and they had one on the shelf.

Is everyone just making their own removal tool (bent coat hangar)?
