North Queensland is currently being exposed to one of the fiercest storms to hit Queensland or Australia for years.

Lets hope the damage to people and property is minimal.

The Farnarkles' thoughts are with the poor buggers up north. Hope everybody ends up safe and well - property can be replaced - except Landys. Wouldn,t mind some of the rain though.

No coincidence that the wife flew up to Ingham to see the outlaws on Saturday.

Now I cant get a hold of her or anyone.......... :?

Should be ok though.

Well...managed to get hold of the wife...and amazingly she slept through the whole thing.....which begs me to ask the question..

How can she sleep un-disturbed through 260Kmh winds yet when I get in a tad later than usual and cant find the lock with my key then she wakes up.

Hmmm..........the mind boggles. 8O

Luckily my family never went any further than Townsville, mind you I just got back from staying at Mackay on the weekend and the winds were bad enough there. I can only imagine what it was like in the thick of it 8O

Hehe, slept through a lot of it as well...didn't last that long...like me......

Went for a bit of a fourbit today, some river crossings etc..good fun....

bit of property damage around, but i think everyone came through alright which is the important thing.

Also got the day off work!!!

Hi Guys
Just spoke to friends of ours who left Williams for Innasvale a couple of years ago.
They escaped pretty well,a couple of smashed windows in the house, lots of water in the house. The Granny flat/garage was smashed, their Dunnydoore parked in the garage has the rollerdoor wraped around its bum,a smashed rear window and it was pushed forward into the wall.
There is no power, phone is working, looks like a "warzone" was their comment. They cant belive the number of trees they "inherited"destine to die as they have no roots.
There is no local radio, all taken out by the storm. They didnt no too much about the second cyclone "Wattie" who is following,it really un-nerved them when I told them.
GOODLUCK TO ANYBODY IN THAT PART OF THE WORLD.
Andrew
