View Full Version : AMK compressor with Hitachi software?

A couple of weeks ago I replaced my AMK compressor with a new AMK one.

I was playing around with the IID BT Tool this afternoon and went into ECU info for the suspension.

It listed the compressor as Hitachi. I re-flashed the ECU for an AMK compressor.

A few tense moments as everything shut down and lights across the dash started flashing but all was good.(First time re-flashing)

So I checked the faults and 2 faults I couldn’t clear before have gone. One was an exhaust valve fault in the suspension ECU and the other fault in body control that I can’t remember

So my question is. Was the software never updated? If not why didn’t I see any faults etc?

I was only aware of the 2 faults above when I got my IID Tool. Nothing on the dash.

What is the difference between the 2 compressor softwares?

I remember something that the AMK ran at a lower pressure.

Thanks
Sean

Not trying to point out the bleeding obvious....

‘Showed as Hitachi so I flashed the AMK software.’

Don’t you think you answered your own question [emoji56]

Just thought I would have had some indication as a fault on the dash display.

Just changes the operating parameters to avoid running the AMK harder than it needs to.
