Does anyone have the details on how the ladder mounts on the back of the G4 range rover used in the G4 challenge a few years ago.
What hinge system would be used to allow the tailgate to open with the ladder attached to the rear window and the roof rack as it seems to me with 2 different hinge points ( 1 for the tailgate and 1 for the ladder ) there must be a special type of hinge at the top.
I could be mistaken of course .
I wouldn't mind putting a ladder like this on my rangie.
Thanks

Hi guys,

I used to have diagrams of the safety devices rack used in the G4. I'll have to dig around for it .. will let you know.

oh, i see . The ladder is mounted to the tailgate at the top as well. so there is no seperate hinge as i thought.
I am not sure I could do that on mine as I have the old style rangie and the tail gate is different.
Thanks for the photo.
