Are You Ready for 30 June 2018? Saying Goodbye to SSL/early TLS (https://blog.pcisecuritystandards.org/are-you-ready-for-30-june-2018-sayin-goodbye-to-ssl-early-tls)

I tried to buy something on ebay. Went to pay with paypal and computer said no. Visa was the only option available.
Went into paypal and there is a message my Visa card has expired. It hasn't.

Oh, well, the ebay vendor misses out on a sale. I keep my money.

PayPal has some pretty serious issues at the moment

Has cost me a lot of time over the last few months

Seems to be no rhyme or reason to most of it

At the risk of sounding pompous that's a bit harsh on the vendor and you have entered into an agreement to buy.

With paypal not working, I am unable to pay. I feel the vendor is a bit harsh to not send me the goods and then chase paypal for payment. Then paypal can chase me.
The vendor can also complain to paypal for a lost sale.

Paypal is at fault here. The vendor loses as sale. I lose a purchase.
