Importing media

Can anyone tell me how to import media from a USB?

The online manual says you can but all I see is a "list" option when I drill down through the menu. No "import" option.

I have an MY18 HSE with the standard Meridian stereo.

you dont import from a USB. You store your music on it.

I think what you are looking at is ripping a music CD which I believe you can directly into the unit. I believe it has an internal hard drive. Im not 100% on its capacity though.

First question i would have is what are you trying to do.

If you want to play music from a USB that you have stored on your computer in say mp3 format. Then Format your USB with FAT32 and copy the files across. Then pop usb into car and away you go

Yes I can play from the USB but the manual states that I can import so I'd like to get this to work. Following the instructions I cannot import from the USB or a CD; the import icon does not appear. I wonder if you need the top of the range Meridian to do so?

No drama. I've emailed LR with the question.

Any update Mark as I have the same problem. Plus mine is even worse, I cant even in import from the CD.

LR were useless as expected. Told me to go to a dealer.

Looking at Topix I "think" there is an update available from January but this particular problem is not mentioned.
