While I have the opportunity I thought I'd show my new toy,

2006 R1200GS with 84,000 in immaculate condition, has a few genuine BMW extras crash bars Ztechnic exhaust, splash guards, spotties touring screen, handguards and full set of panniers, awesome thing to ride.

I don’t think so liquid cooled is later and fatter at the front.

No Ron Air Cooled model....

and no to the leading the way mate, bit heavy for some of the stuff we do I think but Ness and I will be in front on the easy gravel sections.

Picked it up last Monday, done around 500ks so far and love it, went up Macquarie Pass and down Jambaroo Mt Rd this arvo, amazing how nimble it is for a big bike, heaps of torque just grunts out of the corners.

Fun fun fun:thumbsup:

ABS comes standard on the 2018 model, previous models it was an option, if you're tall forget about it, the bike is low and the foot pegs are in the normal position not forward facing.

it's a good bike, has good power, handles well, it'S comfy very little vibration if any and it looks good.

It's the missus bike and she is happy with it which is the main thing.

It was the only bike apart from the Honda CMX 500 Rebel that she can touch the ground with both feet, she didn't like the Honda, vibrated a bit to much at highway speeds and starts to runs out of puff around 100kph, also fuel tank is smaller than the Harley so the Harley got the nod.

The XG750 would be a better option for taller riders.

Been out for 3 years now Pete, and now have a 750 version for the same price as the 500, $9,995.00.
