Hey guys!!

I just bought a Freelander that I am in love with! https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

On the weekend, we decided to check out taking the soft top off, all good.

When putting the soft top off, the zipper on one side stuffed up!! It wasn't catching properly and we tried for an ahour to get it to zip up properly! To no avail!! Bascially we ened up with a broken zipper on one side, so its only closing now with the help of the velcro, which is fine for the short term but I really need to get it fixed!

Any suggestions on where I could get this done??? I have no idea where to start and im hoping it doesn't cost a packet.

Also, if anyone also knows where to get hold of a second hand hard top, which I am also interested in purchasing, that would be great.

Any assistance is appreciated!

Any half decent motor trimmer should be able to help with a new zipper. What are are you in?

I just answered my own question! Looked up motor trimmers and found someone up the road from me that will look at it in the morning!

Thanks heaps, I had no idea where to start.

If anyone knows where to get a second hand hard top, post below!

I had a freelander soft top and had the same problem. also had one of the windows crack after a while. I got a motor trimmer to do it and it was fine (proberly better than what came out of land rover :)) So also handy to keep in with these companys :)

Try Triumph Rover Spares in Lonsdale in SA.
