ES V8 Vs TD5

hello .
need input regards parts car.
i have series 2 , td5 , 1999 with auto box.
nearby to me is a series 2, 1999, "ES V8", auto, complete except for engine and wheels, selling as a parts car.

are the body parts etc the same as td5 ?? auto box, trans, running gear ??
what about internal electrics, interior trim etc ??

any input would be helpfull.

Hi Trim is the same, body parts same , electrics like engine ECU, alt, starter are different, Auto trans is different. TD5 is fly by wire so accelerator potentionmeter is different, exhaust is different,.

Sister in laws td5 was trashed last year by rats on the farm. I'm looking to replace the internal stuff.
Seats, trim panels, carpets etc.
I guessed anything to do with motor would be different.
What about transfer box and running gear etc ? Same as td5 ?

transfer case will be the same, drive shafts same, axles same, brakes same.
The ES should have nicer interior?

I have a D1 ES, only difference I can think of is airbags instead of handles on passenger side. And seats are leather and don't have built in handles. Mine has Electric/leather seats, stacker, leather wheel, alloy rims I think we're standard, electric sunroofs.
If you can afford the fuel the v8 its awsome enough torque and nice burble bit electrics can be fun. Mine has the rotoflex instead of unijoint. No woodgrain tho there is probably more I've missed
