I stumbled across this site recently
About Us - Range Rover Works (http://www.rangeroverworks.com/)
Having owned a few (or more) classic Rangies in the past, I would be interested to know if anyone has priced a 2 door job "off the shelf".
Handy to know in case a long lost relative drops off the perch & leaves me a bundle. I'm figuring between 35 & 45k but don't want to bother them with a "just interested" enquiry.

I reckon you could probably double your estimate. Nothing is cheap when you are paying labour. And if they have done it well, there will be a huge amount of labour!

If I won tatts, I'd wheel my RRC straight over to Les Richmond for a Storm conversion - I think they run to 6 figures... Storm Series Vehicles (http://www.lrautomotive.com.au/contents/en-us/d4947_Storm_Series_Vehicles.html)

Landrover in England will do a total rebuild of your 2 Dr or 4 Dr classic for $135K .... plus shipping of course.
Nice site DeeJay .... interesting to see what they charge.
My 2 Dr's under cover at the moment awaiting an engine rebuild ...she's fairly original (straight panels) and interiors intact for the most part.
Most of the works I could source out in Perth and like others if I had the money which way would you go ....keep her original or like Meccles with a lot of thought and
planning builds a one off custom vehicle the way it should of been using the best of current technology and a sparky who's work is just beautiful.

I've spoken to the guy Mark a couple of times, as they also do some reproduction parts - seems a nice enough guy. I've never asked him for a price on a restoration but I imagine it wouldn't be cheap. Apparently they mainly deal directly with collectors with quite a few vehicles going back to the UK. He reckons they aim for a 100 per cent faithful restoration to original specs to the last bolt and washer...

Mine hadn’t been out in public 12 hours and I had people saying they wanted to buy it. Stupidly I was too stunned to say yes and put huge number on it[emoji849]
