Hi everyone, sorry as I am sure this has been discussed before but I am new to Tapatalk and no hits on searches....

I have a 2009 Defender and lately I keep getting the engine warning light coming on for a abnormal air flow.

The thing is I am a 2 hr drive to the mechanic and I would like to read/clear the code until I am going to the mechanic for peace of mind.

Would anyone have a recommendation for a reader for a defender?

Thanks in Advance[emoji106]

Gap IID tool is the way to go.

Your fault will more than likely be either: Split intercooler Hose or EGR failure.

You can check the hoses visually (need to check under as well as over)

Look through the Electronics Diagnostics section of the forum.

+1 for the IID Tool.

Of course there aren’t many codes to read on a Defender, but the added benefits of the IID Tool are that it will read and clear fault codes on any late model Land Rover. If you ever get another late model Land Rover you can link to your new vin and be able to do a heap of other stuff.

Also if you ever decide to go down the re-map path, it will load BAS re-maps for you.

And Mike, I wish I could read what your new bloody avatar says. [biggrin]

Cheers,
Jon
