Gday All,

Anyone purchased the auto lever / Hi/Low & handbrake gaiters recently ? where from and were you happy with them.

Father in law wants a set for his D2a . Only ones I can see online are all UK sites and all say manual trans , but wonder if they are the sae for the auto.

Thanks and Cheers Ean

Crock skin would be suitable for your location, Ean. The auto lever doesn't have a gator, but I reckon the T/C and handbrake are the same.

My croc wrestling days are over Ian. The first and only effort was enough to steer me away from round 2.

Ahh makes sense why I haven't seen the Auto gaiter offered. - Learn something new every day [thumbsupbig]

Cheers Ean

I bought these Hi-Low & Handbrake Gaiter For Land Rover Discovery I/II Automatic 95-04 Leather | eBay (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hi-Low-Handbrake-Gaiter-For-Land-Rover-Discovery-I-II-Automatic-95-04-Leather/282866525301?hash=item41dc28a475%3Ag%3ApFoAAOSwzjx al9%7EN&_sacat=0&_nkw=the+tuning+shop+discovery&_from=R40&rt=nc&_trksid=m570.l1313) a couple of years ago to replace the frayed ones on my D2. At the time they cost 12.99 UKP so less than $20 but I got them posted free to my son in the UK and he then posted them on to me.

A bit fiddly to fit, you have to peel the old ones off the plastic surround of the Hi-Lo, glue the new one to it and reuse the rubber collar but I'm happy with the result and they still look as good as they did when I fitted them.

I've purchased replacement hand brake and centre diff gators through eBay and were very happy with them given their very cheap price!

On a related note, does anyone know of a supplier of the retaining 'ring' which holds the base of the gaiter to the underside of the console?

Awful puns intended?

I just reused my original ones using contact adhesive. If one of yours needs replacement, get one from a wreck.

In my case after ordering a steering wheel cover from UK, Ebay just adds the GST at checkout.

I know this is absolutely irrelevant, but isn't the smell of the brand new leather boots just something else...
