Does anyone have a digital fault code reader for the 14CUX system for sale at all?

I don't, but you could just get a FTDI USB-TTL serial adapter and use Rovergauge, it may do what you want.
Rovergauge is software available from Github; if you google Rovergauge you'll get everything you need to know.

Really the 14CUX is so "dumb" that I found a code reader really not very helpful.
I bought one from a US wrecker as all US RRC 14CUX had a code reader under the driver's seat.
I never saw a code unless I deliberately say disconnected the MAF.
You can diagnose 14CUX by using the diagnostic procedure listed on this forum or in others.
Mine ran for a long time very well with the TPS disconnected ( broken connection) until I noticed no overrun injector off.
If you fit O2 sensors then the diagnostic is more useful, as the fitting of the sensors and tuning resistor opens up a different map with more functions .

Australian cars do not have the plug. Well RRC91 doesn't anyway. You would have to check with a D1.
You have to fit wires into empty sockets in the big plug on the ECU .
I powered mine from the cigarette lighter.

Sorry I have not been back to this thread for a while I have been otherwise occupied with another issue that I was having trouble with.
Anyway "VILET" has a plug for analytical purposes because I have install the hotwire 14CUX system into the old girl, I realise that by using a digital circuit tester one can pretty much get a reasonable handle on where any problem might be, the reason why I asked about the code reader was so that I could ascertain whether there was any error codes within the system if I had one and then with a quick check I could see whether there was any error codes there and just as quickly erase them.
The problem was that fuel economy was way over the top averaging only about 4.5 Klms/Ltr. the dash light for the ECU was staying on from time to time and not allowing the engine to start except for the odd occasion. I figured that the system must have gone into "limp" mode so I went over everything, found a fault in the wiring to the MAF wiring, then the terminals on the ignition switch, being only riveted they were wearing loose and disrupting power supply to the ECU (and probably other areas) but not enough to cut the engine out while running, anyway I soldered all the connections, erased whatever error codes were there and "bob's your uncle" fuel consumption has improved by nearly 35%.
