I'm getting the symptoms of a VCV on the way out, so I picked one up and I'm going to replace it this weekend. Looking at the location of the unit, and knowing that despite turning my EGR off last weekend (BAS remap) the intake manifold may be lined with soot, I want to pull the intake manifold off and clean it, this will also make the VCV install easier.
A couple of questions, will the gaskets need to be replaced, and what product is best for cleaning the inside of a plastic manifold?
