I've got a 2000 Bullet 500 that'll be up for sale in the next few months. It is silver, though. Last of the four-speeds, only got a few hundred kays up, and sat in a shed for 10 years or so. When I've checked it over, I'll advertise it on here first, if anyone's interested.

They're fine for what they are. I really don't think anyone expects comfort from a 500cc single. I've ridden a couple of them - Would be quite happy hacking around town on one one a sunny Sunday. Not the sort of Bike I'd do a road trip on.

Pretty sure it was - everthing covered there I would have thought everyone knew already - and he made it sound just like owning a Land Rover to be honest... 😁😇

I do hope the Indians make them better than the Poms did back in the 50's. The wet sump 500 twins were hopeless up here in Queensland in summer. Oil boiled, engines seized. The Bullet singles were not a bad bike though but did not have the performance of their rivals.

Well, my 2000 model Bullet (apart from the LHS gearshift, electric starter, doughy muffler, and the indicators) is almost a carbon copy of a 1953 or 1954 model that I parked beside at an Historic Motorcycle meet in Allora a few years ago.
It isn't a fast bike, by any means, but for cruising around rural backroads, it's an absolute joy!
