G'Day all

Can anyone tell me,if a LT 77 bell houesing,clutch fork and pin will fit a R380......save me pulling it out and seeing if it will fit

For a Tdi? If so, clutch fork is the same, so yes it will fit. By pin are you referring to the slave cylinder push rod? If so, then yes, they are the same The actual slave cylinders though, are different.

I'm less sure about the bellhousings. AFAIK, the bolt pattern is the same because IIRC Ashcrofts in UK did an R380 replacement gearbox with a custom short input shaft to replace the LT77s in 200tdi Defenders, and this required re-using the LT77s bellhousing, since in a 200tdi Defender, it's quite different to the bellhousing on any R380.

the problem is the length of the input shaft on the R380, it's much, much longer than an LT77 (as is an R380 bell housing).
A 300Tdi sits much further forward in the chassis than the 200.

Well I should have said befor its ( the LT 77) is on a V8 not an oil burner
