Andy,
here are some pics of Brock after his accident. All nicely cleaned up and gone down quite a bit by the time we got him home and this photo taken. The left side of his cheek and jaw are also swollen. All good now.

Hi,
I hope he is up and sparking on all six soon. It is not fun to see your own child in pain.

(My child had a simmilar accident, and as kids do, he was up and running around in no time at all)

Ace, I chucked it on the end of another post when it happened. My boy and another kid had a collision at school. It appears that my boy was knocked out cold when his head hit the top of another kids. It then looks like he went face first into the concrete unconscious. The teachers said they had not seen so much blood. A friend rushed him straight to the nursing post, and he was sent straight into Klagoorlie by ambulance after a doctor looked at him. He was lucky after X Rays no real damage.
Me being a paramedic thought I was ready for it when I got into the emergency department. It looked like he had been in a car accident. 4hrs later he still hasd not been cleaned up properly. When I made it clear I was a paramedic they moved pretty quick. They did not even keep him in for observation overnight as is protocol for all head injuries. In the end he probablly got better supervision being home with me. This garbage of not admitting patients and keeping beds free is starting to turn into a joke. The doctor, the nurse (steve, very very good nurse) and the chemist were stunned that he was not admitted. It was lucky that both his bottom and top two teeth were out anyway or he would have copped a lot of stiches. Lots of cuts as it was. All is good now, he is fine. The pics taken were about 8 hrs after the incident and the swelling had gone down dramatically. Very lucky, it could have been much, much worse. Lucky he has a hard head.
Thanks for all the concern.
Its a lot worse when you see your own kids like this.
