Hello all,
I was taking my camshaft out and notice that the cam follower guides seem to be part of the block, although the manual has a some mythical tool that assists removing them. Does anyone know how to get them out ? If they actually even come out ?
cheers

There is a row of 8 bolts on the distributor side of the engine block. Undo these bolts and you can lift out the guides. The bolts hold them from rotating as they are a roller setup on the camshaft. Sometimes the 8 bolts have a locking wire to stop them coming undone. I am presuming you are talking about the 2.25 petrol or diesel engine?

Hi Rod,
Thanks mate, rollers and guides have come out it was the cylindrical guide that they sit in that was giving me grief. The block is at the shop getting machined now so they are taking them out.
Thanks for the help though I appreciate it .
