without getting dented or scraped?
A friend of mine has invited me on a trip and I'm a little apprehensive as a have a standard suspensions and tyres while he and his mates all have 2" lifts AT or muddies.
Thanks,

the tyres arent a problem......
menai has a bit or a lot of rockhopping...depending which tracks you take...
lurch has done most of them in standard trim......
but there will be a few places on loop 1A and 1B where you may bottom out on
the rock shelves if you take the wrong line.....
and dont go up prado hill if you are worried about damage....
take the chicken track instead.....thats what its for.....
the rest of menai is pretty easy.....

I've been with stock Disco 2's inside Menai and they were driven carefully - making most trails without any real damage. There are usually ways around the tougher obstacles such as Prado Hill, etc.
How are you getting in there? It's now ONLY open to MEMBERS of clubs that have participated in Menai clean-up days and have had their registration number noted. If you have not done a cleanup, are not a member of a sanctioned club you are NOT allowed in there legally. If you do go in still, then you risk stuffing up access for the rest of us. Not a rant - just a statement of fact. Rangers are looking for people all the time.
Cheers

Damn! Thanks for the warning, I'll let my friend know. I'm not sure whether he fulfils any of those requirements. It doesn't look like I'd be driving there.
Cheers

A mate of mine has been in there recently says there's no warning signs anymore & the demountables are now deserted.
Is it still classified as Aboriginal land ?

The Sydney Jeep Club goes in there all the time and they constantly report ranger activity.... not on every trip, but enough to catch you out when you least expect it.
As far as the classification goes, I think that they've only relinquished ownership of the lots down further toawrds Illawarra Rd that are now being developed.

The lead up just before that flat section is NOT Falcon territory.... so to speak. https://www.aulro.com/afvb/
