Hey there all https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

Although AULRO has a dedicated Gallery section (for which I'm grateful), I know how it is to run low on space and performance if you host a website, so I'm volunteering some spare room that I have if you guys wish to use it for storage of images and movies that you can link to from here on the forum.

My site - http://www.omaroo.net is completely under-utilised. I have a spare 20Gb or so of usable space in the Photo Gallery area, so I've decided to open it up to AULRO members to use as they will (and if they wish) for LAND ROVER-related images and movies. Anything else will be periodically deleted. No lewd images either please.

To log in, go to my "Home" page and log in as "aulro" in the fields provided. Password is also "aulro". Please do NOT pass it on to others that you know will not use it as it was intended.

You can go to the Photo Gallery menu and you'll see the new AULRO album at the bottom. Click on the album image to go inside. Create your OWN album once you are in there by selecting the "admin options" pulldown menu and select "new nested album". Go into that album and either just add new photos or movies or create sub-albums there too if you wish.

Every "aulro" user has FULL rights to the AULRO album - so you can inadvertantly delete others work of you are not careful. In this light, I state here and now that I take ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSIBILITY for your images or movies. Take it as you will, and there are NO GUARANTEES. It will not be backed up ever, so you will need to keep local copies of anything that you upload if you consider those images to be that important. The site has been extremely reliable for the two years I've had it hosted in the USA, so I don't see anything untoward happening, but you never know. No support will be given, so you'll need to work it out for yourselves.... although it's pretty easy.

I will monitor my web space and available bandwidth per month and if I can see that it's being flogged too much I'll have to suspend service until the monthly click-over. Should be OK though as I have about 1000Gb a month of bandwidth to fool with.

I hope that it's of use to people here....and it's used in the spirit intended.

Have fun!

Chris

Thanks for the offer anyway Chris https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ .

There seems to be plenty of free sites around for hosting at the moment so I guess most are just sticking with what they use now.......

True Scott. The post was slipping down to the third page anyway and was rapidly dissappearing from view.

I started the Jeep equivalent of what I wanted to do for Land Rover drivers. It now has about 13,000 images and it's ALL Jeep. It hosts for 251 members from around the world - but mostly for Aussie Jeep owners. Click on the "Options" link top right to navigate.

Oh well... one day...
