Door top locks

I am about to fit a hardtop to my Perentie in order to get it more secure.
The door tops can still be pushed open. The passenger side is really easy to do and the drivers side is harder but still manageable.
Will I have to come up with some way to lock them or can the current system, lock them indefinitely if in perfect order?

wouldn't the outside half window still be able to open?

I was only thinking of one side. Oops. I would need to have a look at my Perentie. What about something like a Series 2 window lock? Block of glass glued to the window, with the door window lock? I shall have to have a looksee.

They turn but do not hold the windows properly. Even when driving along if they are locked, they still vibrate open.

The window locks do lock both window if they are working. Most are worn after 30 years of use. I dont think they can be adjusted but you can buy new ones. Sit down when you see the price though (prices range between $150 and $450ea on Ebay)
I have tried plastic soldering the bottom of the catch on my drivers side one to repair it with limitted success.
I eventually riveted the front window tracks so that they can't move and use a timber dowel in the tracks to lock them as previously suggested.

I found some second hand window locks from a series landrover and pop riveted them into place and they work well.
If positioned correctly they can lock the sliding glass both opened and closed but I only set mine up to lock closed.
I noticed later landrovers have a harder to fit sliding plastic lock built into the bottom of the door top .
