If ya've got Foxtel, ya could do worse than watch this.
Big crowds at Sydney, race starts at 7.20pm,....lots of unknowns here,...looking good,....take a look.
Highlights on Ch 10 FTA tomorrow,.....but won't have the same atmosphere.

Anyone see it?.....Probably not!!
But it was a great event, great driving by "The Giz", and a good result for Red Bull,..the Championship points are very close.
Visually, I thought night racing was pretty special & added another aspect to the Series.

under lights? big deal.
makes ZERO difference to the driving.

You want real night driving?
Try doing a 25km off road night loop in the forests around Jimna( no soft cocks here, in winter with the creeks full!),, you dont know jack until the phrase-
"All cows are black at night" gives you nightmares...

ahh,, the older I get the faster I was.. [bigrolf]

That's my line!! [emoji23]

I used to have a NoFear sticker on the back of the F100

"I live with Fear every day...
And sometimes she lets me race"

I wasn't very popular at home for a little while. [emoji38]

yeah I watched it and all the afl, channel flicking.

I thought it was quite good ...the last 20 laps....usually dont watch a full race.

I thought the driver presentation before the race was a bit off...its starting to look like seppo land in its delivery.

The cars STILL all look the same , we need some real model identification and the drivers names very visible on the cars, not the sponsors or at least as visible as the sponsors.

Slightly off topic, but this is a good read for the people interested in this sport, and one of the all time greats.

No Foxtel for me, but from what I could pick up via the feeds it looked like an awesome event! Sounded like a bit of Cole Trickles rubbings racing. Wish I was there.

As Roland Dane has said elsewhere, its a real shame CL didn't win more championships.

He was runner up,or third that many times it was ridiculous.

How many times did he double stack over the years behind Whincup, and therefore lost a bucket full of championship points?

I am pretty sure at Bathurst one year, he would have won if it wasn't for double stacking as well.

I was there at his very first race meeting at Eastern Ck in '93, three years before his Touring Car debut.
He was the young hot shot from Victoria who everyone was talking about and it was my second ever car race which just happened to be a round of the Touring Car Championship!

I think he finished third and I got pipped on the line for fourth, but the entire time I couldn't work out how the hell he was able to maintain his car speed with the amount of bloody understeer he had through the hair pins! [emoji23]

Craig was a quiet kid who could barely string a sentence together back then, but he was always quick and seemed like a nice bloke, which is unusual in motorsport.

Maybe a bit of "deja-vu" last night,...Whincup copped a double stack!
