I had two amber lights "suspension" and "brake" system. The car while still able to be driven went into lowered mode and the brakes felt spongy. Terrain Response had error codes U0416 and U0421 each saying too much invalid data received AIR SUSPENSION also had code U0416 again too much invalid data.

All this after I adjusted the park brake shoes, which sent me into a tailspin trying to fix and clear faults while working out what I had done wrong etc, after a week of searching with no resolution I put the trundle bus on a tray-top to my independent workshop 60k away. They found a faulty "YAW" sensor which sits in the console between the front seats, not something I had played with :) and the error codes and amber lights had me looking in a totally different area, brake fluid level, fuses, hardwire reset, clear faults, pull rear wheels and hubs off again etc then fit new rear rotors pads shoes brake wear sensor the old ones were marginal which is when it went on a tray top

I get the odd C1A98-92 (08) Yaw rate sensor circuit - Component failure - performance or incorrectoperation and C1A98-01 (08) Yaw rate sensor circuit - General failure information - general electrical failure faults every now and again. Will get nothing for ages then it will throw the faults up for a while

Shane,

I had C1A98 code come up in the "Antilock Brakes" section, which is why I also changed the brake light switch and checked pads and fluid levels. I think that unless you have seen the combination of codes / warning lights before, you really are just guessing as to whats wrong. I use a Blackbox MSV2 OBD2 unit to read and clear my faults, it has saved us many times before.

The Yaw rate sensor is directly tied into the stability control, which is why when it faults the car lowers and lights up the suspension and brake system lights. I dont get the terrian response error codes at the same time but the fault knocks out the special programs as well. Being an intermittant fault in mine Im not to concerned and the main issue of it dropping the suspension can be overridden with my LLAMS unit so I no longer need to stop and restart everything when it does fault
