Disco 3 - Rear window gas strut plastic ends?? Where to buy them please??

Hi All [biggrin]

Last night i did the fateful error of helping the rear window lift up while the gas struts were doing their thing on my 2007 disco 3............pop, pop..........both plastic ball joints broke off!!

I am able to unscrew them off the strut itself, does anyone know where I can get a replacement set from as I do not want to replace both working struts.

I have tried Supercheap Auto and Autobarn but they only do the whole strut.......EBay sell the plastic ball joint but I'm not sure on the size M6, M8 etc to order?

Any help would be great, thanks all !!

I've jsut replaced mine, and for some reason kept the old struts. I can screw the ball joints off one end (the thick end), but not the other. No idea why. Appears to be an M6, approx 6mm diameter. One random bolt I found screwed in quite well, although another that I also thought was an M6 seemed a bit loose.

I'd be happy to give you the old struts if you're anywhere near the Sunny Coast.

I have some strut ends off other struts that might help. And I’m 10min away.
