Hi Guys, Couldn't find anything on this problem. Just lately when you depress the hand brake lever the hand brake does not release if you push the lever a number of times or hold the lever down it throws up a park brake fault. You can take the key out lock the car and unlock and restart and there is no fault. Doesn't do it all the time. You can drive off and it releases without a problem. Not sure what to make of this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. As I am heading off to South Australia in 2 weeks and don't want any problems on the trip.
Cheers

It will be out of adjustment, can be done diy and there should be guide on here for the procedure.

I have fixed the problem using my Nanocom, in the park brake section there is a Longitudinal accelerometer Calibration function, this is normally preformed by the vehicle itself but you are able to do it for the vehicle instead. I hit the recalibrate button and problem now fixed. Hope this might help someone with this problem in the future.

Now adjust it properly very quickly. You sometimes only get one second chance before it destroys itself.

I advise testing it while the car is in low range as well, as I found it can be quiet in high but scream in low, and also you don't want it sticking on when you're off road somewhere.

I’m fine I simply run through the adjustment process once per annum and never have an issue. I’d recommend all people here do the same to keep things happy.

I have now tested the hand brake in high and low range without a problem seems that the Longitudinal accelerometer Calibration was the culprit. For some reason the vehicle computer hasn't adjusted it and got out of wack. Lucky I had a Nanocom or it would be off to the repaired for them to do the software calibration.

Don’t forget to check the Flux Capacitor!
