Let me guess the outcome ....

"Sir, as an act of good faith, due to the long-standing relationship between our two nations, we have agreed to replace the compressor section that failed. We cannot, of course, be held liable for any subsequent damage to the airframe, as you did not meet the requirement pursuant to Page 1,234 Sub-section 266 Paragraph B (iii) of our "Suggested Specifications Manual" (Fifth Edition), which clearly advises that, in order to minimise collateral damage in the event of a parts failure, the compressor housing should be contained in an enclosure of Class D Titanium no less than 18 inches thick.
