What is this and where does it go ?

I have this part from my 1971 wide light 2a, ex mil 109" GS, can anyone help me identify it please ?

It goes under passenger side guard...parts manual calls it "bottom panel for wing valance, LH"
will try and get a pic of it in situ for you from one of my removed guards tommorow
Dont throw it away as military and civilian have them

Thanks Paul. It's interesting to also see that square sheet riveted to your inner guard, I thought it was some sort of patch when I saw it on mine.

The steel riveted to the panel is a cover, the exhaust used to exit through the left guard, no point in changing tooling at a huge cost, just rivet in a cover, that will do cheers Dennis
