Just wondering if anyone else has had trouble getting parts out Craddocks since July
I placed 2 orders on the 4 of July and 10 th paid for freight and parts then they said gst issues
I then emailed them once a week for update and get a standard reply we are adding gst to all Australian orders and then hear nothing

Snap - identical here. Fortunately it is only 2x seals, but I think I will cancel and see if I can leave a credit on my registration there.

I wonder if these companies with no presence in Australia are actually passing the GST collected onto the Aust government or just pocketing it themselves - after all the Aust Govt cannot force them to collect it on the their behalf.

Thanks for the heads up.
This B!##$&it is coming to this side of the ditch and I hadnt considered the issue that companies other than the big obvious ones were going to be caught up.

Same with mine. I cancelled my orders with them, refunded in full back to my Paypal account.
Replaced a fair bit of it from a UK Ebay seller (charlieccu) with no problem at all. It was substantially more expensive, possibly AU GST already built in?

Yeah, ebay is adding the GST at the checkout.
I have asked Charlie (charlieccu) to do a direct order with him to avoid the GST, as I have bought enough from him to trust him. I just contacted him through FB messenger. You just need to ask him to specify "gift" on customs declaration.
Cheers,
John

Hello from Brisbane.
Much the same - been waiting for a couple of weeks for verification that the GST has been calculated and parts sent.
Next time you are passing a Harvey Norman’s drop in and thank them for this extra bit of grief.

Got a reply from Craddocks today - they have cancelled my order and I have a credit on my account.
I will leave them for a couple of months to sort out their admin and then give it another go.

Sounds like there's a fair bit of business on this forum alone that they're missing out on...
I'm not the sort to hassle every day. I just vote with my feet.

I pretty much order all my stuff from them. I email Vicki directly and she has been fantastic. My last order took a bit of time as they had to update their systems for gst... not bad given the expense that must of cost for just catering for us. Anyway the system is now all sorted so should be all ok now.
Ill email about these issues and see if she can provide further info.

Hello again from Sherwood.
Got advice yesterday that the last order from a few weeks back had finally been sent.
Generally had good service from the firm over the years - but like a lot of others, the 'blue box' stuff occasionally comes along for the ride.
Cheers,
Neil

Waited 3 week for an estimate on postage, made a call at the end of week 2, very friendly, but nothing came of it. End of the third week i called again, friendly, but for 2 filters, a solenoid, a bearing 8 bolts and a couple of gaskets and a few other bits, whole lot not more than a kilo in a shoe box and they charge $70 postage. Honestly I've had door tops and prop shafts delivered from Paddocks for that sort of money.
However, once i paid, I must admit, the delivery took less than a week.
Craddocks are truely great for that unobtainable part and they have saved my skin in that respect a couple of times, but, i think If I can get my bits from Turners or Paddocks they will remain my first choice. To be honest this is the worst experience I've had with them, no doubt in part due to the new tax changes, but i think the 3 or 4 orders I've done in the past haven't been exactly stress free.

Almost on topic - has anyone had difficulty with Pegasus Parts?
I ordered and received confirmation over a month ago for a similar size package, about a shoebox.
Not heard a thing since. I've emailed them twice, and rang the number on their website several times (not connecting).
How do you contact someone on the other side of the world who won't reply to your emails?
Not drubbing them at all, maybe they're on holidays, but I'm just puzzled at this lack of response.
Peter.

Not sure why there is a difference in services people are experiencing. I ordered new head bolts and gasket, got it to me in less than 2 weeks. Even I was surprised!

Craddocks refunded without a problem and many apologies.
Pegasus however after 40 days from confirmation of my order are still not answering their emails. Not happy at all...
Just so happens I'll be over there in three weeks, I might go down to Surrey and knock on their door...

I don't have a series Landy, but do you guys ever use Rimmer Bros?
The reason I ask is that they were all over the GST changes and were set to go on the 1st July. I have ordered through them twice since then and both orders were sent within 12hours of payment. Even on a Saturday evening.
Just food for thought.

DBracebridge Heath?
I have used them easily 60 times and only had one issue (Disco 4 mud flap brackets), and that was resolved in three emails.
Freight is also quicker from there to where I live near Katherine NT than from Melbourne to same place.

Parts turned up out of the blue from Pegasus yesterday!
Still not impressed by their lack of communication. Not a thing from them in reply to my three very polite emails...
