Now, the reason for this sentiment is, Wife & I went to Moreton on the Weekend, to get some sand between our toes, Tangalooma. Friday , Saturday were great, a bit cool, but no wind. Sunday, at 2pm, the Moreton flyer back, 40 knot winds. The ferry was alongside the wharf, up & down about 4 to 5 metres . The crew had to load 6 baggage containers from a crane, 3 either side of the bridge. Imagine, 3 to 4 metres side to side, 4 to 5 up and down.

Now, I thought this was a recipe for disaster. Particularly because they had to board about 60 passengers, as well. All young fellows, none over about 25 , except for one. Being an old sailor, I watched with great interest. These young men did themselves proud. As good as any I served with. I shook their hand , on disembarking. As a sign of respect, from an old sailor, to the new. I hope they understood.
