First test drive , the difference is dramatic.

Ive had a TT in the front of a Defender before & the difference was much more subtle .

In the Lightweight with FWH locked but in 2WD the steering is significantly more difficult ,nothing like in the Defender with power steering where is was hardly noticed. No big drama because its an EV I drive with the hubs unlocked on the road - (you do notice the difference in Battery range, about 5km per charge)

OH - the tyres at 40PSI in both cases , I rarely let them down - to get better rolling resistance on the road.

Just replied to your other thread that I watched this last night.

Very effective. Not sure I would put one in my Stage One with no power steering.

I was thinking of putting an Ashcroft ATB in the front of mine.
The action would be the same wouldnt it?

Exactly the same operation & outcome , except Ashcroft ATB only come in 24 spline ,
I investigated getting some 24 spline half shafts made but for my purposes not worth the expense / effort.

However for the rear I have fitted Ashcroft HD 24 spline series shafts.

Thanks. I tried to buy a TT from a guy in the States. Paid and all but after waiting he said they could not get me one as the maker hadnt started a new batch yet. Gave me a refund so bought the Ashcroft. Still not fitted yet. Got axles made by Hi Tough because I am fitting CV,s.
