I have a one year old who loves pushing the buttons on keys and lately this has turned into holding the panic button thereby setting off the car alarm in the driveway

is there a way to disable this function? I’m sure my neighbours would appreciaye it

Buy her a key fob from eBay in a funky colour and you hold on to yours?

She’s quicker than she looks so despite my best efforts to keep the key out of reach I’m failing at times

You can reprogram the button to do other things:

If in doubt read the instructions (the handbook). Covers how to program the "LR Button".

must Be talking about different models, mine doesn’t have a LR BUTTON, just the hazards image on the button I’m referring to

looks like I’ll just have to be more vigilant

Looks like the LR button is only on the 3 button D3 key fob, the D4 is a 5 button key fob. All the functions you could program the LR button to do on the 3 key fob exist on the 5 button key fob without having to program anything.
