Trailer lights

I have a puzzling (to me) situation.

I have a trailer with Led lighting and all works fine behind my D2.

When I connect it to my 110 (91 Perentie) the indicators will work for 1 or 2 corners and then all the indicators on the car and trailer stop working (but the hazards still work). You can then disconnect the trailer and the cars lights return to working.

I thought it might be the hazard switch in the 110 causing gremlins but a new switch makes no difference.

I have had the relay supplying power to the indicators fail ( i thought maybe related to issue) A new relay and the indicators work but the problems is still there when trailer is connected again.

I'm no auto sparky but I've never been beaten before!

Are you sure you have a good earth, an actual earth wire, and you are not relying on the coupling to provide an earth.
A couple of my trailers have LED lights and they do not give any issues when behind our Perentie.
