Well I finally got to see my 110 up close and personal. Love at first sight. What a beast!
I dare say that all the oncoming traffic was able to see in the dark were two schoolboy like grins from ear to ear. Road workers waving, children pointing and grey nomads reciting their uncles war stories at truck stops. Delayed on the Tarmac in Melb and then greys not having record of payment delayed us till mid afternoon before we got on the road and it was a very late arrival into Melbourne with my freind and myself yawning away. Pulled into my driveway at some ungodly hour and parked two other cars right up its backside to prevent it being nicked that night. Currently "SAPPA" (in honour of my father) is with my mechanic getting the vic roady done and locks installed. Should be safe in the garage in a cpl of days. Thankyou to the two gentleman who provided myself and my mate with many helpful hints and tips for any trouble we might have on the way home and a big thanks to the gentleman who allowed us to borrow some tools to do a few checkovers. I think I'm going to really enjoy meeting some of the other owners as so far I have been welcomed and provided with information by some very generous and kind people indeed. Very proud to own this vehicle holds many memories for me and a future of exciting times. Really can't believe I have the bush tucker mans car at last!
