6mm so far - that will lay the dust for a couple of days!

I don’t recall this poddy critter ever being wet. Spit/mist here rather than rain though. Hopefully more to come because it’s all just starting to bounce back after a lot of nothing.

Now 12mm after a heavy shower. Should lay the dust until about Tuesday! But my tanks are now topped up (benefit of a big roof area from the all round verandah).

Our farm near Rylstone NSW has had 10 mm today :-)

Less than 5mm here yesterday but there's a storm front coming our way. Hopefully the storm damage will be minimal and that we'll get half a decent drop. The wheat is just starting to flower and canola pods growing so rain now would be very beneficial.

having grown up in Broken Hill I always keep an eye cocked and an ear to the ground about the dirty old town

yesterday they had a big dust storm....and I remember big dust storms ...always followed by rain /thunderstorm.

well , it did , just behind the dust storm came the thunderstorm and they got about 5mm out of it......then the real McCoy rolled in they got 32mm in a matter of an hour or two ... more than the last 12mths rainfall combined.....all the creeks flooded...if you know the town all the intersections and flood relief drains flooded.

I wish I was there to enjoy it like the people in the town did.

Its something you might have to be part of to understand

My online weather station nows says we have had 18 mm. All the alpacas will be completely sodden. However, anticipating this rain, I had put my tractor out in the weather so they can use the machinery shed for shelter. I'm so nice to them :-)

Perhaps I should have put my tractors out in the weather and left the doors open too!

My online weather station nows says we have had 17.5 mm.You appear to have fared better than another weather station just north of Rylstone (FW1609) that is reporting only 5.8mm.

Whats the link for that station FW1609? I see Nullo Mountain (30 km away) is just 7.6 mm (Latest Weather Observations Nullo Mountain (http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDN60801/IDN60801.94754.shtml))
I have a Davis Vantage Pro setup but weather can be very different just several kms away.

53mm in the gauge this morning - rained a good part of the night, with a modest amount of lightning early in the evening. I'll have a drive around after breakfast.

At least someone got some rain although probably too late for pasture except lucerne.

Yes, but very spotty. Dubbo got about the same as here or a little less, but Dunedoo, which is closer, only got about 8mm.

We picked up 50 ml in our gauge overnight. More showers today. All welcome , but would be better further west.

I hope Quirindi got some rain, I saw the story on Four Corners, and it was eye opening what people are having to go through.
