Hi,
Just after any tips on extracting a better growl from my std exhaust , not really interested in power upgrade, just a better note. Any good brands people have experience with, so l won't sound like a complete novice at an exhaust shop.. Cheers Sam

Single 2.5 inch exhaust.

1 2.5 inch full flow muffler
1 2.5 inch resonator.

slightly better sound is dual 2 inch exhaust.
2 2 inch full flow mufflers
2 2 inch resonatrors.

option 2 more $$$

fit extrators if you like add extra $400.00 pllus fitting.

Michael.

twin 1 3/4", has a real bark to it, better than any single system, and is cheap as chips, twin 2" is probably a little big for a stock 3.9 and you'll lose some torque

Cut off about 500mm from the rear end.

Cost : 1 hacksaw blade.

Sound : Better than it was before. https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

Worked for me. https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

On my 3.5 Range Rover. Replace the centre muffler box with a straight through muffler, delete the rear resonator entirely and make the last 12 inches of pipe 2.5 inch. Sounds pretty deep and grunty. Now all I need is the power to match the noise...

old rangie - Pacemaker extractors, 2.5" madrel bent, hiflow (full flow) muffler, exit pointing more downwards to the road.

current tow vehicle - exhaust chopped about 8 inches after main muffler (below rear door) https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ IT FELL OFF I SWEAR https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

If it's a great noise at little/no cost just get rid of the resonator- growly result... https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

As far as I know there are no extractors made for the D2 unless you pay $2000.00 or more for customs, not work the cost.

Just fit a free flow muffler to the existing one and it makes a deeper growl and slight improvement.

Sorry mate mine has twin 2 1/4" but that was on a 302 then turboed now soon to be 351 N/A, i just love the sound of twin systems, they have a much deeper note, but the rover motors sound grouse with twin 1 3/4", way better than having the same single system note as everyone else.

If only the went like they sound, they would pull wheelstands!!!!
