I am a regular on one of the tram Facebook sites and they have just posted up some photos of the first statue of a digger, erected in 1916 at the Rozelle tram depot.

So many of the men at the depot had gone to war, and had lost their lives, that the depot erected the statue 2 years before the war ended.
