Ford in the USA is making noises about a new Bronco.
The language used could almost plagiarised from JLR's press releases regarding the new Deefer! [bigwhistle]

Check it out from about the 6.00 minute mark...

Well seeing the original Range Rover was a copy of the original Bronco and the 48 Land Rover was a copy of the original Jeep ( many of which built by Ford) , there has long been a cross fertilization of ideas between Ford and land Rover. Nothing new.
I always wanted a Bronco but I left Ford only months before it launched. I recall driving an F250 "highboy" and that was fun but a long way up.

The trend is definitely away from 'full-size' 4x4's - except of course for all the massive utes in the USA, which are in a category of their own. It seems to be all about image and Ford look to be going for a retro version of the Bronco - exactly what Defender fans have rejected. I reckon their just trying to build the intrigue like Land Rover.

Without watching the video and going by the photo, I wouldn't call it a bronco....all the previous Broncos were basically SWB F trucks. This isn't modeled off the latest F truck at all, it's a completly new design all together.
I miss my F-350 gotta get another one day
Cheers Jim

Looking at the mid 60's Bronco you can definitely see where LR got the body styling que from.

Here is a real picture of the new Bronco.
It would be good if the new Defender was something like this, but maybe unlikely.
