If someone tries to sell one of these rims please contact me. The courier left it on the front porch and stolen 25 minutes later! Photo of purp attached.

Unduckingbelievable. This won’t help you to your next meth fix mate. Meth dealers have no idea what this is

Surely something as valuable as a rim would have to been signed for and if no one to sign then taken back to the couriers depot.

I had a $33 omelette maker delivered from ebay this morning and I had to get out of bed to sign for it - so why not a $500 rim?

I had to sign for mine earlier this year. Can you claim on the courier's company? Assuming that they were sent from GOE and not second hand I would expect to have had to sign for them.

Very bad to experience things like this in life, but it happens anytime.

IF you did not authorise the seller to give a special note to the courier to leave the box at a safe place (which normally they just throw the box in front door) => then you can claim the missing item to the seller with full evidence of stolen story and photos, then the seller will be responsible to make decision to either refund or send you another new rim (while they are claiming the courier on their own job).

IF you did authorise them to leave items at a safe place, then it was just an unlucky moment, try to report to police and see how they go.

Start checking local gumtree, and if they list it go round and get it!

Had my sons $3500 mountain bike stolen and it showed up on gum tree the same afternoon!!! Told police with evidence etc and they new the guy and where he lived and everything. So left it with them, never to see the bike again!
Should have taken care of it myself!

In most cases you can now select an option to drop without signing.....I assume there is small print saying it releases them from the responsibility.

Most of the time I get items delivered to work, the others I get delivered to home and tick the box for them to leave without signing.

Not good... Even with "signature required" deliveries these days, it's up to luck - I was monitoring the tracking details of a $2K bass guitar amp I recently bought. At 8am on a Sunday morning the doorbell rang - I answered straight away. Just in time to see the courier van tear off, leaving my "signature required" amp sitting on the driveway in plain view of the street....!

That is very annoying indeed. Slimy so and so must have been close by to see it delviered like that.

Gumtree, fleabay or pawn shops.

I always get deliveries either to my post office box or to a retired mates [place as he is home nearly all the time. Never get stuff delviered at home except for lite-n-easy which funninly enough has never been knicked.

Don't hold your breath on cops doing anything. If it wappears on gumn tree get a couple of mates and go collect it.

My daughter tells me that the courier takes a picture of it where it was put then rings the doorbell before diving back to the vehicle to avoid delays of having to wait for someone to appear who might also want to check for damage, taking more time.
