Transmission problem defender 300tdi

I have lost 5 and reverse gear also H and L will not work in 5 and reverse.
Could it be the r380 gear box or the transfer box.
I dont won't to get a recon box if it is the transfer box.

Any help would be appreciated.

It’s likely a broken lay shaft have a look at Ashcroft’s website

It could just be a shifter issue as they are the same selector.
