What they need to do here is hit stolen vehicles in the rear corner,just like they do in the US,to spin them around.

That usually sorts them out.

The first yob that gets injured by being knocked off his bike will have his taxpayer funded lawyer lodge a claim for damages which will be in the millions and that'll be the end of any pro-active policing.

One of the reasons that this type of theft was reaching significant levels was that the police were not allowed to give chase. This was due to one of them falling off and sued the police as if they had not chased would not have had accident. This is very new and we will see how long before it is stopped.
